Mommy's Little Monster

Was the caption on Max's shirt today, little did I know it would be his theme for the day - little stinker! (Thanks Hannah for our sweet little outfit! And speaking of Hannah, CONGRATS HANNAH AND TREY!! Max is going to have another little cousin!! YAY!)

New Fun Game

So, Max LOVES making the motor boat noise and rubbing his fingers over his lips while saying "blub, blub, blub." He likes it when you use your finger too. Here's a video peek - usually he uses his hands more, but you get the idea!

So, Max's front, left incisor made its appearance this afternoon!! I guess he is ready for some steak!

As a side note, we've been having some sleep issues lately. I didn't know if it was all the out of town visits or the teeth. Well, we had a little "come to Jesus meeting" if you will and since our "meeting" we've been back on track - sleeping all night without waking up once! My baby is just growing up so fast. YAY MAX!

Busy Weekend in South AR!!

This weekend was our 4th weekend in a row out of town! Molly, Shawn, and Ben (& Willie) came to visit this weekend from AL. So we (Owen, Shannon, AG, Trey, Hannah, Chris, Lauren, Kelly, Max and I - Rocky and Baxter too!) all head to PB. As always, it was wonderful seeing everyone. Memaw, Papaw and Bobbie came to Linda's to visit too! Molly's little belly is just adorable. And Ben is so cute that I can't even imagine how beautiful Samantha will be! His curls would make any girl jealous and he has a great personality to boot! I'm SO impressed with his vocabulary. I hope some of his smarts rubbed off on Max! On Saturday, the girls along with Ben and Max went to the Pumpkin Patch in Grady. It was Max's and my first visit to a pumpkin patch - AG has already been to more pumpkin patches than I have and she's not even two months old!! We rode the hayride to the patch where Ben picked out the perfect pumpkin. It was lots of fun and I hope to make a visit to the Pumpkin patch a yearly trip for Max. We thought it would be fun if the kids wore their halloween costumes. As you can tell Max is going to be monkey (guess it's our theme for his first year and if you saw how flexible my baby is you'd understand!) and Ben is Superman or Super Ben as we called him all weekend. Ben has a superman costume and Linda got him superman pjs (that he loves so much, I don't think he changed all weekend - I can't WAIT for Max to be in that stage). Ben LOVES his cape. It's so adorable. When he is outside and the wind blows or when he is running, he cranes his neck to watch his cape "fly." (It almost looks painful, but it is super cute!) Christmas cannot come soon enough so the whole clan can be together!

As a side note, Max's 4th tooth made it's appearance on Saturday morning!

Happy Belated 7 Month Birthday!!

So, we have been SO very busy this month! Weddings, parties, reunions, and family get togethers have had us out of town EVERY weekend (and there is no stopping in sight)! WHEW! Max turned 7 months old October 3rd. We were in WM on his 7 month birthday and he got to spend it with my family, including my mom and sister from FL. They just lavished him with such fun toys for his birthday - he finally has his own cell phone - no blackberry yet! He really misses them. This weekend he will get to hang out with his cousins Ben and AG at his Sugah's house (his aunt and uncles will be there too!) So, we have 3 teeth now and weigh about 23 lbs and measures 30-31 inches. He wears 12 month - 18 month clothing. 12 month clothes (depending on the brand) are almost too small. He sits really good by himself and loves to roll all over the place. Sometimes he acts like he is trying to crawl but we aren't really anywhere close and he is still VERY uninterested in standing. It is really funny when you try to get him to stand - he kind of squats and bends at his waist. He looks like he's riding a horse! (that would sure make Ted proud, but I think he will have to stop growing in order to be a jockey) He LOVES books - "reading" them and eating them. His eating and sleeping habits are still pretty much the same. He is still such a HAPPY baby and we are SO blessed! He has a new friend. A little boy, Jack that goes to his day care on Thursdays. It is so sweet, we don't usually go to day care on Thursdays, but last Thursday we did. So, I walk in and he is sitting on the floor with the cutest little boy. They are sitting toe to toe and really looked like they were playing. So sweet. Well, I picked Max up to go home and Jack just starting crying. He was so sad his friend was leaving and they said he cried for about 5 minutes after we left. Isn't that just the sweetest? So, I've been trying to work on Thursdays so Max can play with Jack.
