Busy Bees

So, it's been a while since my last post. We've been pretty busy lately. I've been really busy with work. Also, Max and I have been burning up the road between West Memphis and Little Rock. Sadly, I don't really have any pictures of those travels. Kelly (our photographer) didn't join us on our adventures, so I didn't have anyone taking pictures or reminding me to take photos. Whoops! Luckily I have a MAXnificent sister who remembered to take photos while she was visiting. We had such a WONDERFUL time with Sara and can't wait till we see her again in October. (Let's hope Fay doesn't blow Sara and my mom away!)
In addition to our travels to and from West Memphis, Max has been a party man. He went to Girls' night at Lauren Meredith's house, Ben Blankenship's Birthday Dinner, and Baby Caleb's shower. (I don't have pictures from girls' night and his date with his girlfriend, Mallory, but both of the Laurens do on their blogs!) Here are a few pictures from Ben's dinner at Doe's and Caleb's shower.

SISTERS! We Are Family!! Baby Showers just really take a lot out of a guy! My sweet baby!!

So, in addition to all of his party goings, Max has been spending his time doing other things as well. He is now eating meals twice a day. He has tried oatmeal, green beans and sweet potatoes. He didn't like sweet potatoes at all! Max enjoys the easy life. He loves laying in his bed or on his playmate. He has fun rolling over, scooting around and playing on his tummy. He likes "reading" and "dangling." Let me explain the dangling. Max has NO interest in "standing." As a matter of fact, he has no desire to even put any weight on his legs or feet - it seems as though the child enjoys doing anything that requires the least amount of energy being used. (Yes, he really might be my child! On the other hand, he is definitely Kelly's baby too. Linda said Kelly didn't walk until he was about 14 months old - I think Max will definitely follow suit!) I borrowed a Johnny Jump Up to see if he would gain some interest in bouncing or something, but it didn't do anything for him - he just dangles in it. He thinks it is LOTS of fun, but it is more like a swing. It's really funny to watch. Today he kind of started to turn himself in it but not really. He really likes reaching for Mommy while he is dangling and LOVES when he can grab hold of my leg. He thinks that is a GREAT game!! It's really funny to watch. UPDATE - as I type, Max is no longer just dangling - he is actually spinning (due, in part, to his own doing and, in part, just to the laws of motion!) Another minor milestone, that is entirely too exciting for the adults in the McNulty house.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and hopefully, I'll do better with photos. Kelly's birthday is tomorrow - so feel free to email (kellymcnulty@hotmail.com) or call him with any birthday wishes!! Happy Birthday Kelly!! Lots of Love!!
