My babies are growing!! I had lunch with our priest yesterday and told him that being a parent was the greatest job I’ve ever been given – I really mean that. I just pray every day Kelly and I do the best that we can to help Maggie and Max grow into wonderful people!
Here’s my sweet Max. He wanted to take a picture before school the other morning.
Here are Max and “Dunder” sharing a Buzz toy. It was so sweet because Max was really sharing. He would play with the toy and then say, “Ok, Dunder, its your turn.” What a good boy!!
Now a few weeks back (in September) we went to Jolee’s birthday party. Here’s Max driving Jake Veazey around in the jeep. Sharing wasn’t so easy on this day!
Here’s Max pouting with Memaw and Jolee. He didn’t want to give anyone else a turn on the jeep and he ran to Memaw thinking she would protect him from his mean ole mom. I guess he didn’t get the memo that her nickname is Mean old Memaw!
Max is a typical 3 year old. He pushes limits but is a GREAT kid! He is about 3 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 45 lbs. He LOVES school this year. Bernie is still his VERY best friend at school – but Daddy is the #1 guy. He and his dad do his letters just about every night. Max pretty much has the alphabet down. There are some letters that throw him for a loop but he does great! He LOVES roaring and growling! He is constantly running and jumping. His favorite thing is to pretend that he is a dinosaur or a gorilla. He cracks me up and I’m blown away at how fast he is growing up. Max isn’t the only one growing up too fast. Maggie is FAST on his heels! Just the other day he wanted to know why Maggie was so slow growing up that he was ready for her to be big to play with him!
Miss Maggie is EVERY WHERE!!!!
Standing
Crawling
and climbing!
She LOVES standing these days. And has even walked along the furniture at times.
She even tries to help with the dishes!
and the laundry!! Have you ever seen someone so excited about laundry detergent?
She LOVES the camera! Here she and Max were playing and I took a picture with my phone. I guess she sensed the camera on her and IMMEDIATELY turned around and flashed a smile.
Here she is enjoying some football with her Uncle Chris!
The other day Maggie had picture day at her Mother’s Day Out. We “practiced” before she left. It was SO cute! Even Max decided to join in on the fun!
Mallani came to play with Maggie for the Razorback game. (These two were the only bright spot for us during that Bama game.)
Here’s Maggie hanging out with Ryan!
Max is definitely one of Maggie’s FAVORITE people. She just follows him ALL over the house and watches everything he does.
She also REALLY loves her daddy. Her face just lights up as soon as he gets home in the afternoon. Maggie is still just as sweet as she can be but has started showing some diva tendencies. If she doesn’t get what she wants she will throw her arms up and down while screeching at you. We’ve tried to give Maggie some formula for when she’s away from me at Mother’s day out. Well not only will she not drink it she is VERY dramatic about refusing the formula. She throws her hands to block you from giving her more and literally acts as if we are feeding her poison. She still isn’t a big fan of eating and will only eat when and what she wants. SO HIGH MAINTENANCE – maybe I should lay of the bows (think they are encouraging it)? We go for her 9 month check up later this month so we’ll know more about where she is on the growth chart.
I hate to write about it for fear of jinxing our good thing but she is really doing good on the sleeping front. She takes 3 naps a day: 1 around 9; 1 around 1; and 1 around 4. She goes to bed for the night around 7:30-8, sleeps until about 4:30-5:30, eats, and goes back to sleep until about 7.
She LOVES taking a bath!
Here’s Max putting his arm around her saying, “We’re Best Friends.”
We still haven’t decided on Halloween costumes. Max insists on being a dinosaur again but I was hoping he would be Peter Pan and Maggie could be tinkerbell. O’well. We’ll see!
Have a great week!! HUGS!
