This poor neglected blog. It's been so long since I've last updated that the blog doesn't even know that baby three is on the way - not only is baby number 3 on the way baby boy Henry will be here in 13 days!!! At first, I didn't post because we were waiting until we were out of the first trimester to tell everyone beyond family and close friends and then time just got away.
This pregnancy has really been pretty easy. We've had some ups and downs but overall this pregnancy has been more like the easy one I had with Max rather than the rough one with Maggie. We can't wait for Henry to join us.
Max and Maggie continue to keep us on our toes. Max loves school. He is doing great with his sight word and is reading age appropriate books. He is such a joy. He is still very loving and loves to snuggle. He is so sweet to always hug and kiss on us. It's very sweet. He gets so excited about each new interest. He loved soccer this fall and cannot wait for spring soccer to start. He also enjoyed football season this year. He would sit and watch games and ask lots of questions. His favorite team is the Broncos. He recently learned to dribble and that's ALL he wants to do. I didn't really mind the soccer games in the house but basketball is a different story. He's also become quite obsessed with playing video games on Kelly's phone. Kelly is amazed how good Max is at the games and Kelly gets frustrated that he can't beat Max's score. It's pretty funny. He has his first loose tooth and is super excited about it. I just love the excitement that comes with each new adventure.
Max did his first 5k together. He had lots of fun! I hope exercise is something we keep doing together!!
Maggie is fast on his heels. If Max is doing something then you better believe Maggie is either doing it or attempting to do it too. She is such an independent child and very head strong. Sometimes I don't know if she is three or thirteen. Maggie, like Max, is very loving. She crawls in bed with me and will ask me to roll over to snuggle her. She will rub on my cheeks and give me kisses. I wish she would stay this way forever. She loves her Mother's Day out program and would go every day if possible.
Parenting is definitely the most challenging thing I've ever done and I'm amazed (and a little anxious) we are going to start fresh. But then there are days like yesterday where you watch your children play pretend and pretend to be the mommy. I watched and listened to Maggie play with her babies. She was so gentle and very loving. I heard her tell her babies the same things I say to Max and Maggie. It made me think that maybe we are doing ok. :)
Maggie still takes a daily antibiotic. She tried to potty train and does really good with the potty part. She still just has some issues and we have to be patient. The urologist specifically told us not to push potty training with her right now because of her reflux. The blog also doesn't know that Maggie broke her arm right after Thanksgiving. Poor moo moo had a rough 2013. She is out if the cast now and will hopefully be out of the brace and fully healed by the end of the month.
After getting the cast, I asked if she wanted some Tylenol to feel better and she told me no but that lipstick would make her feel better. I really wonder about her sometimes ;). Of course, she for lots of lipstick but she may need some lessons.
Hopefully with our new baby boy coming more blog posts will be forthcoming!
Say a prayer for us.
Hugs!
