Augusta Grace McNulty Debut

So, I know I just posted, but I had to tell everyone that the Ted McNulty family will FINALLY get a girl tomorrow!! Augusta Grace is scheduled to be here tomorrow, August 22, 2008! I felt that she needed her own post! Yes, she will share her birthday with Kelly and Shawn. Kelly isn't too happy about it and says he won't share his cake with her. I really just can't wait to meet the little princess. Owen's and Shannon's friend, Rogers, says, knowing Shannon, Augusta Grace will be born with her toe nails already painted and complete with all of her accessories, like a purse, shoes, etc. I just crack up every time I think about it! We really just can't wait to meet her. I'll be sure to post as soon as I can! Please include Shannon, Owen and Augusta Grace in your prayers. (O' Mr. Baxter too, because that poor dog's life is about to change in a major way! Maybe Rocky an console him!) Wish them luck!!

Busy Bees

So, it's been a while since my last post. We've been pretty busy lately. I've been really busy with work. Also, Max and I have been burning up the road between West Memphis and Little Rock. Sadly, I don't really have any pictures of those travels. Kelly (our photographer) didn't join us on our adventures, so I didn't have anyone taking pictures or reminding me to take photos. Whoops! Luckily I have a MAXnificent sister who remembered to take photos while she was visiting. We had such a WONDERFUL time with Sara and can't wait till we see her again in October. (Let's hope Fay doesn't blow Sara and my mom away!)
In addition to our travels to and from West Memphis, Max has been a party man. He went to Girls' night at Lauren Meredith's house, Ben Blankenship's Birthday Dinner, and Baby Caleb's shower. (I don't have pictures from girls' night and his date with his girlfriend, Mallory, but both of the Laurens do on their blogs!) Here are a few pictures from Ben's dinner at Doe's and Caleb's shower.

I think he's laughing at one of Roger's jokes!

SISTERS! We Are Family!! Baby Showers just really take a lot out of a guy! My sweet baby!!

So, in addition to all of his party goings, Max has been spending his time doing other things as well. He is now eating meals twice a day. He has tried oatmeal, green beans and sweet potatoes. He didn't like sweet potatoes at all! Max enjoys the easy life. He loves laying in his bed or on his playmate. He has fun rolling over, scooting around and playing on his tummy. He likes "reading" and "dangling." Let me explain the dangling. Max has NO interest in "standing." As a matter of fact, he has no desire to even put any weight on his legs or feet - it seems as though the child enjoys doing anything that requires the least amount of energy being used. (Yes, he really might be my child! On the other hand, he is definitely Kelly's baby too. Linda said Kelly didn't walk until he was about 14 months old - I think Max will definitely follow suit!) I borrowed a Johnny Jump Up to see if he would gain some interest in bouncing or something, but it didn't do anything for him - he just dangles in it. He thinks it is LOTS of fun, but it is more like a swing. It's really funny to watch. Today he kind of started to turn himself in it but not really. He really likes reaching for Mommy while he is dangling and LOVES when he can grab hold of my leg. He thinks that is a GREAT game!! It's really funny to watch. UPDATE - as I type, Max is no longer just dangling - he is actually spinning (due, in part, to his own doing and, in part, just to the laws of motion!) Another minor milestone, that is entirely too exciting for the adults in the McNulty house.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and hopefully, I'll do better with photos. Kelly's birthday is tomorrow - so feel free to email (kellymcnulty@hotmail.com) or call him with any birthday wishes!! Happy Birthday Kelly!! Lots of Love!!

Just Max

So, I had some pictures to post a few days ago but Blogger was having some issues. Here are some pictures of Max "eating." I think he is telling us that he is ready for some meat, maybe "piggie" feet?

MMM, I love my piggies!!

TOO CUTE!!

This Picture CRACKS me up!! He's such a ham!

Look at me mom, I just rolled over!!

Play Date with Harper

So, Max's best friend, Harper came over to play yesterday. I guess boys will be boys at any age - I was shocked to learn that even baby boys like to wrestling with each other. Just look at all the fun they had together!
Aww, trying to hug - Look, they are holding hands! (Or maybe they are shaking hands before the match?)

The Tables have turned - now Harper is eating MAX!!

Max isn't too sure how he feels about Harper eating him Uh-O, Max Looks like he's up to something - I think he wants to wrestle!!

Max, you don't hit your friends!! He said, "But Mom, he bit me!"

Harper has him in a "clinch" hold - Max looks like he is second guessing the rough housing.Harper has him! Max says, "Get me outta here, I give!"
Harper, I'm tired of playing - Talk to the Hand!

Taking A Rest from all our playing - both of them sucking on Max's hands
We LOVE visiting with Harper. We'll miss him SO much when he moves!!

Five Fabulous Months

So, Max turned five months old yesterday. It's really hard to believe it has already been five months. He's probably about 20 lbs. and 28 inches. He wears mostly 12 month clothes but can still fit into some 6-9 and 9 months clothes. We started eating cereal twice a day now and next month we will start our vegetables. He's more interested in eating his foot than eating his cereal these days. (Pictures to come.) Max's favorite past time, next to sucking his thumb, might be eating his toes. He "talks" ALL the time. I LOVE it. He gets stronger every day. It won't be long until he can sit without any assistance. Bath time is LOTS of fun. He splashes and kicks while smiling his big gummy smile. He LOVES being tickled and just screams in delight. It's really cute when his dad lets Max know the tickles are coming. Max just gets SO excited in anticipation. Max REALLY likes getting kisses, especially on his neck (well the part you can get to due to his "layers") and has a great time grabbing Mommy's hair and glasses. He is still a GREAT sleeper. He usually goes to bed about 9:00 and sleeps till about 5 or 6. He eats and immediately goes back to sleep until about 8 or 9. He usually takes a really good morning and afternoon nap (some days he takes 30-45 min cat naps throughout the day). We are VERY blessed. He spent his birthday in the car driving home from OKC and was just a perfect little boy - well, except for a few minutes until we got him a bottle about Conway. I was nervous for no reason. He did really good in the car and great in the hotel. I think having Evelyn and Luke in the backseat really helped. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed seeing our family in OKC. The McLemores (well, McLemores, Ashers, and Burresses) are great parents and have some beautiful babies! Eliza, Myranda and Lana are just full of personality and so sweet. Our trip was ENTIRELY too short. Carolyn, Evelyn, and Luke were great travel companions - I had a GREAT time being with them. I wish Uncle David lived closer - it is just a real treat visiting with him and his family. Jessica is super lucky. Besides having wonderful children, Dan is an EXCELLENT cook. He made us Bananas Foster for breakfast on Sunday. It was GREAT (I ate entirely TOO much)!! Raistlin and Kady are PERFECT little babies. They are both so good. I'm a TERRIBLE camera person because I forget to take pictures. I didn't take any pictures until Sunday, so I don't have any of the Burress family or of precious Eliza. (Dan and Kourtney didn't make it into my pics either but Carolyn has everyone on her camera.) I'm trying to upload pictures but can't for some reason. I'll try again later. Hope you all have MAXnificent week (MAXnificent is my new word - I can almost promise you will get tired of it)! Hugs!
