Cutie Patooties!!

I am so thankful for my little family EVERY DAY! I'm just grateful for all of our blessings. I am also so appreciative of my boss and the ability/flexibility with my job to work for home. It really allows me LOTS of time to enjoy my babies.

We have been having so much fun together. We went out of town the week following father's day because Kelly had a week long trial in Stuttgart. (Kelly said I prayed harder for that case to settle than the lawyers involved - he's right!) I still don't enjoy staying at home alone at night but I decided on Sunday night (the first night ) I would brave it. That is until about 10:30 when I heard what sounded like some type of alarm. It kind of sounded like a smoke detector but not that high pitched. I was SO scared (it even startled Rocky, not that that is saying a whole lot). I IMMEDIATELY called Rob (I didn't call the police because our alarm wasn't sounding.). Rob was LITERALLY at our house within 5 mins. I wouldn't leave my barricaded bedroom to unlock my door to let him in the house so I tossed him my house keys from the bathroom window. Rob couldn't find the source of the noise but discovered our downstairs door was unlocked. Needless to say, we (Max, Maggie, AND Rocky) went home with Rob that night and stayed in Sherrill the rest of the week spending one night in Stuttgart with the Feilkes so we could see Kelly. Thank goodness for Rob and Amy and Sugah and Pop!!!

UPDATE on the noise: Kelly believes the noise was air in our pipes - HOW EMBARRASSED should I be? Doesn't matter, because I'm not!! ;)

It wasn't a complete waste. Maggie got to visit with her boyfriend John David Feilke. Maggie is about 2 months older than JD - even though you can't tell by looking at them. If it were still acceptable to arrange marriages this one would be in the books! How much fun would it be if my baby girl married Sally's little boy?!

Maggie thinks it's a GREAT idea!

I know I've mentioned it MANY times on this blog, but Max really loves his daddy. The day Kelly left for Stuttgart he sat Max down to tell him he was going to work and would be gone for a while (Rookie mistake ;p). Max became HYSTERICAL. He was crying, screaming and pleading for Kelly not to leave. It was so sad. Kelly was actually late for work because he couldn't pry himself away. It was just the saddest sight. I know it really touched Kelly's heart to know just how much Max adores him. Kelly is wrapped around his finger - FOR REAL!!

Max isn't the only one around this house wrapping people around their fingers. Little Miss Maggie is quite the charmer. She is really one of the happiest babies who really only cries when she's happy or tired. It is SO precious but at church people just smile and comment on how cute she is - sometimes I feel like she's on parade when we go to receive communion.

You think it has anything to do with the MASSIVE bows she's been wearing:

Don't get me wrong - I realize the bow is about as big as her head, but come one, what do you expect when you have to incorporate that many colors? She got so many compliments on her bow at church this morning. In fact, when we went up for communion Monsignor complimented her bow saying, "that's a really GREAT bow." Her silly mother FORGOT her bow for the church picnic tonight and Monsignor actually asked where her bow was!! When the priest of your GIANT church notices that you're missing an accessory, that's definitely the sign of a GREAT bow! ;) BTW, not all of her bows are that big!

Not only is she indulging her mother in the bow department, but she let's me dress up her. It's so much fun. I mean I liked barbies as a child but this is just barbies taken to a whole new level. (As I am writing this, I am even wondering - "tabitha, who are you?!" I guess I've got a little too much of my aunt Carolyn in me! ha!) No seriously, I'm really shocked at how much fun I have with her little outfits. I couldn't believe it when I learned we were having a baby girl. I'm just not a real girly-girl and was so use to little boy stuff that the idea of a little girl made me nervous. I was SO overwhelmed by ALL the girl stuff but it seems as though I'm finding my "groove."

Here she is wearing her "little black dress" Libby gave her and her high heels from her Princess.

Can you stand it? I can't!

Maggie is exploring things beyond fashion. She turned 6 mths old this week!! I just can't believe it. We started rice cereal when she turn 4 mths old. She liked it ok - not as much as Max did as a baby. About 2 weeks ago we introduced green beans. She REALLY likes green beans. See:

She looks like she has been slimed. Maggie is a messy eater - just like her daddy!

Did you notice the cutest little two teeth you've ever seen in the last picture? I mean really, even her teeth her cute! Maggie constantly rolls from her back to her belly. She's able to roll from her belly to her back but still doesn't do it very often. She is doing really well on napping and she mostly does ok at night time. We've had some hiccups lately due to teething and being sick.

On May 31, Maggie's 5th month birthday, she woke up vomiting - gross. Max at least waited until he was almost 2 before he vomited for the first time. We went to the doctor and it turns out she had an ear infection. Well on this past Thursday Maggie slept ENTIRELY through the night. She woke up a 5 for the first time. Kelly and I couldn't believe it. I fed her and when she finished she started vomiting all over my bed. DISGUSTING!! It was EVERY WHERE! We went to the doctor again and it wasn't her ears this time just some nasty stomach virus. (I won't even provide the full details of the poop incident that happened the next day but she lost MAJOR cute points in my book and should be grateful no one else was here to witness it.)

Here are Kelly and Maggie crashed after the 5am wake up

Isn't that just the sweetest picture of Kelly cradling his little girl? Kelly really is a GREAT daddy and a WONDERFUL husband! Thursday was the WORST day ever for Maggie to be sick. I had 3 briefs due so I LOTS of work. Kelly was so helpful and wonderful!! Bless his heart!!!

Well, Maggie isn't the only cutie in our family. Check out this cutie:

Think this is what Maggie will look like in 2 years?

Max and Maggie really share A LOT of the same features. I was looking back at the blog at some older pictures of Max and was really AMAZED at how much they favor one another. Well, they not only share features, they share germs too. Max woke up Saturday morning at 3:45 vomiting - ALL.IN.MY.BED!! (Yes, vomit in my bed twice in one week). GROSS!! But I think he is feeling better. All day long Max would want to touch Maggie and just couldn't understand why I didn't want him to touch her. Kelly told him we didn't want him to get germs or catch a bug from Maggie. So later in the day, Max explained to me how he didn't have any more bugs in his mouth and opened his mouth to show me. He was so cute talking about bugs!

Have a FANTASTIC Fourth tomorrow! Happy Birthday Uncle Joe on Tuesday and my mom on the 9th!!

Love, hugs and prayers!
