Sweet LITTLE Maggie

Our sweet little Maggie is two months old! So hard to believe. She is still such a sweet baby. We are still working on napping, specifically napping in her bed but aren't there yet. She has been sleeping in her bed and we're crossing our fingers that continues. Her favorite sleep spot is still on her mom. She sleeps SO soundly. See what I mean:

I LOVE that little face and those precious lips! Maggie looks so much like Max. I was looking at pictures from his 6 wk photo shoot and was amazed at how much she resembles him. (It really isn't a bad thing because he'd be a beautiful girl!)

Now that Max and Kelly are on the mend and it seems the cold season is dying down, Maggie and I have been venturing out of her room. She REALLY likes her bumbo. She'll sit in it for quite a long time in a two-month old's world. Poor Max never really used it because his legs were just too fat to comfortably fit. However, our Maggie fits just right. She also loves her play mat. She'll lay on it, kick, and look around for 10-15 mins!! That is such a long time for a 2 month old! Max likes to get on the floor and play with her too - so that keeps her attention as well.

So our sweet little Maggie had her two-month check-up today. I've kind of been nervous about what her weight would be considering how slow she's been at gaining (and she still isn't a great eater), but it turns out there was no need to worry. Maggie weighed in at 10 lbs 7.4 oz which is in the the 40th percentile. She's gained 2 lbs and 5.4 oz from her birth weight. She grew 3 inches and is now 23. 25 inches which is in the 82nd percentile and her head measure in the 33rd percentile at 15 inches. You know how they say no two babies are alike - well boy is that true with regard to Maggie and Max. When we got home from the dr. I pulled Max's baby book and his two month growth sheet. Max had gained over 5 lbs and grew 5 inches in his first two months. I guess she is really going to be our LITTLE Maggie compared to Max! Shots certainly don't get easier with the second child. She fell asleep waiting on the nurses to come in and wouldn't wake up (no matter what they did - wish she did that at home when I laid her down) until they pinned her legs down and gave her the shot. I was slightly afraid she wouldn't ever go back to sleep for fear she'd get more shots, but once I held her she calmed down and immediately went back to sleep. (She even let me put her down and remained asleep!)

Maggie passed out at the dr office AFTER her shots

I started back to work this week and its been busy so far! ;) Let's hope I can continue to keep up with my cases with two little ones at home!! Maggie starts MDO next week for one day a week so I can have some uninterrupted, kid-free office time. Wish US luck - she just seems too little to be away from me. Apparently leaving your baby isn't much easier with the second either.

Have a great week and wish us luck!

HUGS!!
